Random Thoughts

University had, as one would expect, a significant impact in how I approached the taking of photographs, particularly with respect to thinking conceptually and working on projects and the production of a series of images to convey a message. It did to a large degree negate the idea of the stand alone image however, I think as a photographer we always seek pleasing compositions or intersting plays of light and when we stumble across such fortunate situations we are, if we have a camera at hand, compelled to capture them. This for me is, and has always been, a random and often frustrating approach but on occassions very rewarding. These photographs are simply just that, random thoughts. They also represent an evolution in my craft and skill as a photographer one that will hopefully continue to grow.
